Should I Give a Recorded Statement to an Insurance Company?

VIDEO TRANSCRIPT

One of the things we tell our clients when we take on their case is that they have two jobs: first, to do everything they can to get better, and second, to leave everything else to us. We advise our clients not to speak with any insurance company, as we should be their mouthpiece. We act as a buffer to ensure that nothing they say can be misconstrued by the insurance company, which could ultimately hurt their case.

While there are times when they may be required to give a recorded statement to their own insurance company to secure coverage, we always tell our clients not to do so unless we are present. We arrange these statements and accompany our clients, often virtually via Zoom, reducing the need for travel. Our goal is to handle all communication with insurance companies, as we understand what information they are entitled to and when. We also manage any necessary communication with doctors, employers, or disability companies, allowing our clients to focus solely on their recovery while we take care of everything else.
