Adam C. Weiss is a partner at Lever & Ecker, PLLC. He has practiced for more than ten years, is admitted in New York and New Jersey and in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern District of New York and the District of New Jersey, and joined the firm in 2018. He was named partner in February 2024.
A Lawyer With an Interest in Medicine
Adam did not plan on personal injury law. In his own words: “I found a practice that I really love that allows me to combine my passion for the law, my passion for advocacy, and my interest in medicine and helping people.”
That interest has a track record behind it. Before joining Lever & Ecker, Adam litigated birth injury cases arising from OB/GYN and neonatal malpractice, and pharmaceutical and medical device product liability claims. Today he handles motor vehicle, construction, slip and fall, and medical malpractice cases, work where reading the medical record closely often decides the case.

For Adam, a successful outcome means securing compensation for a client and seeing them recover from their injuries.

Training in the Federal Courts
Adam earned his J.D. magna cum laude from Pace University School of Law in 2013. During law school he worked for the Honorable Deborah Batts of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and with the U.S. Department of Justice. He holds a B.A. in Anthropology from Skidmore College (2009).
Leading CLUSTER Community Services
Adam joined the Board of Directors of CLUSTER Community Services in 2021 and was elected Board President in the fall of 2023. CLUSTER provides mental health counseling, housing assistance and youth programs to residents of Yonkers and Westchester and Rockland Counties.

Adam lives with his wife, daughter and their dog, Strudel, and follows the Knicks, Yankees, Giants and Rangers.

- $1 million for a rideshare driver injured in a motor vehicle accident caused by a negligent motorist.

- $8.8 million settlement for a client who tripped and fell in a parking garage pothole, suffering significant cervical injuries requiring multiple surgeries and a permanent loss of income. After a liability verdict in the client’s favor, the firm negotiated this resolution as the damages phase of trial was about to commence.
- $12 million settlement for the family of a pedestrian tragically struck by a bus while in a crosswalk, suffering catastrophic injuries that led to wrongful death. This confidential settlement, among the largest in New York in 2020, was resolved early in the process, allowing the family closure without enduring a public trial.
- $12.2 million jury verdict for a construction worker who fell from a ladder and suffered life-altering spinal injuries requiring multiple fusion surgeries, leaving him permanently disabled. The jury awarded damages for pain and suffering, medical expenses, and lost income after finding the defendant 100% liable.
