Over the past few years, numerous purchasers and users of the NutriBullet kitchen blender have filed lawsuits against NutriBullet on the grounds that the machine exploded or otherwise malfunctioned during regular use, causing them severe injuries. NutriBullet, touted as a high-performance kitchen blender, has an extensive history of complaints against it regarding significant injuries from these malfunctions.
Common complaints by NutriBullet consumers include instances of the blender’s rapidly-moving blades detaching and the pressurized container exploding, spewing hot contents. Victims of malfunctioning NutriBullets have suffered severe burns, severed fingers, eye injuries, lacerations and other disfigurements. There are even reports of severe nerve damage from detached blades.
While there has not been a NutriBullet recall, an alarming number of accidents involving NutriBullet products have been reported. In February 2023, a New Jersey woman brought a product liability lawsuit against Nutribullet after her NutriNinja, a newer NutriBullet model, exploded and the blade detached from the base. The woman claims that the product was “defectively designed” and that her use of the “unreasonably dangerous blender” caused her to sustain, among other damages, painful bodily injuries, mental anguish, and medical expenses.
The manufacturer of NutriBullet, as well as others in the chain of manufacture and distribution, may be liable for the damages caused to individuals who suffered injuries as a result of using NutriBullet products.
